With a BA in Visual Communications from the California State University
at Chico, I came to the San Francisco Bay area in 1995 to work with an up-
and-coming design firm. Working in the heart of Silicon Valley during the
internet and dot com explosion was a great opportunity and I learned a lot,
quickly. I honed my skills while designing and project managing mostly high
tech and internet related projects.

In 1998, after working at several Silicon Valley design firms, I launched
em design studio as a freelance design business. Since that time, there has
been steady growth in the quality and ideal fit of projects and clients. I have
learned what kind of projects I do best, how I work best, and what is enjoyable for me. I've learned that a happy designer equals happy clients!
